The four cases
| You see | What happened | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You stopped the reading | You pressed Stop | Keep the rows it found, or start again |
| The reading stopped partway | A very long schedule ran past what one reading holds | Keep the rows, then read the rest as a second file |
| What came back could not be checked | The reply was not in a shape we could trust, so none of it was used | Read it again, with a clearer scan if you can |
| Could not reach the reading service | The connection dropped, or the service was busy | Try again in a minute, or type the schedule by hand |
Things to know
- Keep these rows adds the rows found so far, and you can read the rest of the paper after that.
- For a long schedule, split the paper into two files and read them one after the other.
- A reading you stop before any row appears is not counted. A reading you stop after rows appear counts as one reading, and the rows are yours to keep.
- A reading that fails on our side does not use an AI credit.
How it is worked out
Whether a reading counts follows two rules:
- A reading counts when it finishes, or when you stop it after some rows have appeared.
- A reading does not count when it fails, or when you stop it before any row appears.
So reading a 2 part schedule as two files is 2 readings, and reading the same file again after a failure that was not counted is still only 1.
If you see this message
This did not use an AI credit. Only a reading that finishes is counted.
Nothing to do. Your credit is still there.
You stopped the reading before it found any rows, so it did not count.
Nothing was used. Start it again whenever you like.
Nothing was read and nothing is on the tender. Your papers are still attached.
Press Try again. Your files do not need to be added again.
