RA Bills for government construction work
Government construction work is priced using rate books. In Delhi, the CPWD DSR is one of the main rate books used. Contractors get paid through RA Bills, and preparing one is slow and easy to get wrong.
An RA Bill can run to 10 sheets that link to each other, and every rate on it must match the DSR to the paise.
One wrong rate and the AE sends the bill back, delaying payment for finished work by months.
Many contractors hand the bill work to someone outside the firm and wait.
Other work AI automation can take over
The same kind of work is waiting in other industries. Some of it is paperwork, and a lot of it is checking, matching, counting and answering that people repeat every day.
Invoices, purchase orders, challans and bills are typed into Excel or the billing software. AI can read the paper and fill the entry.
A bill, a claim or a contract is checked line by line against a rate book, a tax rule or an agreement. AI can check every line and mark what does not match.
Purchase orders, invoices and goods received are matched one by one, and so are bank entries and ledgers. AI can match them and show only the differences.
Staff and customers ask for order status, prices and stock many times a day. An AI assistant can answer from your own data.
Stock is counted and quality is checked by eye. AI can count, read a meter or spot a defect from a camera or a phone photo.
Daily reports and reminders are put together from many sheets and messages. AI can prepare them and send them on time.
